February 2021 Bullet Journal Setup

Hello and happy February everybody! For today's post I would like to share my February 2021 bullet journal setup.  Cover Page - For this month's theme I was inspired by AmandaRachLee's (on Instagram and YouTube) candy hearts theme. Honestly, I guess I was feeling festive. If you read my previous bullet journal posts ( here and here ) you know that I am not artistic or good at doodling but when I saw her theme I was inspired and I figured how hard could doodling hearts be?  Monthly Layout - On this page I just have the month laid out in front of me and keyed in some important dates. February tends to be a busy celebratory month for me because it's my birthday month and my parents' anniversary. Have y'all seen those TikToks of February babies singing Nicki Minaj's verse on Bed Rock " ok I get it let me think I guess it's my turn " because Canada wasn't in lockdown in February and now us February babies have to celebrate our birthdays during ...

January 2021 Bullet Journal Setup

A new month means a new bullet journal spread! For this blog post I would like to share my January 2021 bullet journal spread.  If you haven't already seen my 2021 bullet journal spread, click here .  My cover page is very plain, I know. Let me remind you that I am not artistic at all. My bullet journal is definitely more on the minimalistic side.  Monthly spread - For this month's spread I like having the calendar blocks large enough so that I can write important dates for this month. And yes, I also like crossing off when each date comes to an end.  I have a separate page for my January goals. I think I was feeling a little artsy for this page so I went on Pinterest for the easiest thing I could draw.  Habit tracker - for this month's habit tracker spread, I drew out 31 boxes for the 31 days of this month and had each habit listed one after the other. I chose to do it this way because it's a lot easier at the end of the day to cross off each box, if I c...

Bullet Journal 2021 Setup

Happy New Year everybody!  My first blog post of 2021! I thought it'd be fitting to share my 2021 bullet journal setup.  This is my third year bullet journaling. I am not artistic whatsoever, my style is definitely more minimal but I like adding some colour.  For my bullet journal I just use the L euchtturm1917 Medium (A5) dotted hardcover journal.  The very first page is just the new year - very plain jane lol. I was feeling festive when I was creating this so I included a new year quote that says "What the new year brings to you will depend a great deal on what you bring to the new year." I love including quotes throughout my bullet journal, they serve as great personal reminders.  The page next to that is the 2021 Year at a Glance. Here I just layout all 365 days of this year. The next page is my layout for my goals this year. I divided my goals up into 4 sections: personal, health, finances and professional. In each designated box I listed my goals in...

What I Want For Christmas 2020

Aside from the what I really want for Christmas this year like figuring out my purpose, financial stability and a fulfilling career, I thought it would be fun to share what's on my Christmas wish list this year. With Christmas right around the corner, I hope this gives you some gift ideas for yourself or someone else! Bullet Journal Leuchtturm 1917 Medium A5 Dotted Hardcover notebook  -  I am going into my third year of bullet journaling and I need a new one for 2021! I've only used dotted notebooks but I would love to try a squared notebook too. Personally I'm not very artistic, I suck at doodling so some cute and useful additions or stocking stuffers would be stickers, washy tape, and gel pens. Gel pens - I've used Muji gel pens and Micron but I know there are tons of other brands and pens that come in sets of different colours. Literary After falling in love with reading again this year, I have a ton of books on my TBR list. My current favourite genres are contempora...

My Current Skincare Routine: Winter Morning

One of favourite acts of self care is having a skincare routine. I've been dabbling into skincare since high school and I feel like finding the right products that work best for your skin is a trial and error process. In this post, I thought I'd share my current winter morning skincare routine. I'm still learning and I'm still trying to understand what works best for my skin.  1. Cleanser - CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser  I start my morning skincare routine by cleansing my face and I've been using the CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser. I've wanted to try this product ever since it kind of blew up on social media. This product was so hard to find and was sold out at every drugstore. When I finally found it, I had to grab it and see what the hype was all about.  It's been about a month now of me using it daily and I'm not sure if I'm seeing amazing results. My face feels clean after using it but I think because of all the hype and attention this produ...

Books Instagram Made Me Buy: Rom-Com Edition

T he bookstagram  community on Instagram is definitely one of the best discoveries of this year for me. One of my goals for 2020 was to read a new book each month. I fell off that goal earlier this year but was reignited when I found a whole community of readers on Instagram sharing their TBR (to be read) list, book reviews, and so much more book related content. I fell into a deep hole of rom-coms this past summer so here are the rom-com books that Instagram made me buy.  1. The Boyfriend Project by Farrah Rochon  Samia Brooks never thought she would be "that" girl. But a live tweet of a horrific date just revealed the painful truth: she's been catfished by a 3-timing jerk of a boyfriend. Suddenly Samiah - along with 2 other "girlfriends," London and Taylor - have gone viral online. Now the 3 new besties are making a pact to spend the next 6 months investing in themselves. No men and no dating.  For once Samiah is putting herself first, and that includes finall...

What's In My Sephora Shopping Cart

One of my favourite things to do is browse the Sephora app and see what's new in the beauty industry. I also have the urge to clean out my current makeup collection and start all over! See what I've been eyeing at Sephora down below. Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Bronzer by Fenty Beauty I've always used powder bronzers because I thought they were the easiest to use, but I keep hearing from many beauty influencers to use cream products. This product was definitely influenced by beauty influencers. It looks so easy to blend and seamless. Your Skin But Better Foundation + Skincare by IT COSMETICS I've always wanted to try this brand. This product seems so lightweight and buildable. I'm very interested in the hyaluronic acid and aloe vera ingredients in this foundation. Lately, I've been wanting to aim for products that'll give me a natural radiant finish and essentially give the "your skin but better" effect. Slip Shine Sheer Shiny Lipstick by Fenty Beau...
