What I Want For Christmas 2020

Aside from the what I really want for Christmas this year like figuring out my purpose, financial stability and a fulfilling career, I thought it would be fun to share what's on my Christmas wish list this year. With Christmas right around the corner, I hope this gives you some gift ideas for yourself or someone else! Bullet Journal Leuchtturm 1917 Medium A5 Dotted Hardcover notebook  -  I am going into my third year of bullet journaling and I need a new one for 2021! I've only used dotted notebooks but I would love to try a squared notebook too. Personally I'm not very artistic, I suck at doodling so some cute and useful additions or stocking stuffers would be stickers, washy tape, and gel pens. Gel pens - I've used Muji gel pens and Micron but I know there are tons of other brands and pens that come in sets of different colours. Literary After falling in love with reading again this year, I have a ton of books on my TBR list. My current favourite genres are contempora...

My Current Skincare Routine: Winter Morning

One of favourite acts of self care is having a skincare routine. I've been dabbling into skincare since high school and I feel like finding the right products that work best for your skin is a trial and error process. In this post, I thought I'd share my current winter morning skincare routine. I'm still learning and I'm still trying to understand what works best for my skin.  1. Cleanser - CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser  I start my morning skincare routine by cleansing my face and I've been using the CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser. I've wanted to try this product ever since it kind of blew up on social media. This product was so hard to find and was sold out at every drugstore. When I finally found it, I had to grab it and see what the hype was all about.  It's been about a month now of me using it daily and I'm not sure if I'm seeing amazing results. My face feels clean after using it but I think because of all the hype and attention this produ...

Books Instagram Made Me Buy: Rom-Com Edition

T he bookstagram  community on Instagram is definitely one of the best discoveries of this year for me. One of my goals for 2020 was to read a new book each month. I fell off that goal earlier this year but was reignited when I found a whole community of readers on Instagram sharing their TBR (to be read) list, book reviews, and so much more book related content. I fell into a deep hole of rom-coms this past summer so here are the rom-com books that Instagram made me buy.  1. The Boyfriend Project by Farrah Rochon  Samia Brooks never thought she would be "that" girl. But a live tweet of a horrific date just revealed the painful truth: she's been catfished by a 3-timing jerk of a boyfriend. Suddenly Samiah - along with 2 other "girlfriends," London and Taylor - have gone viral online. Now the 3 new besties are making a pact to spend the next 6 months investing in themselves. No men and no dating.  For once Samiah is putting herself first, and that includes finall...
